Trenchless Sewer Repair In Indianapolis, IN
What is the first thing you think of when reading the words “sewer repair?” For most property owners it is an image of those large, yellow construction trucks destroying the landscaping and hardscaping while digging a large hole in order to reach the sewer pipeline for repair. The next thing that pops into mind is the massive hit to your bank account. Last but certainly not least is the mess that is left at your home, place of business, or investment property after the sewer repair is complete.
In many cases the lawn, flowerbeds, shrubbery, patio, driveway, walkway, and or parking lot ends up looking as if it were in a war zone. Although far too many plumbing contractors still incorporate the use of the traditional excavation method to repair sewer pipes, property owners do have a far superior choice. Trenchless sewer repair in Indianapolis, Indiana relies on technology instead of excavation. Nu Flow Technologies has perfected the method with the Nu Drain pipe lining approach.
The Nu Drain Pipe Lining Process
Step One: Sewer System Diagnosis
The Nu Drain pipe lining process starts with a video camera inspection of the sewer pipeline in order to properly diagnose the exact location or locations of the problem. A plan of action is then formulated to implement the pipe lining in the most cost-effective and timely manner as possible.
Step Two: Sewer Pipeline Cleaning And Preparation
The existing sewer pipeline must be properly prepared prior to the application of the pipe lining system. Often times the sewer pipes are clogged with tree roots, calcite, and other debris. These blockages must be removed with either a hydro-jetting machine or pneumatic plumbing tools. The interior walls of the existing sewer pipeline must be as clean as possible in order for the liner to stick properly.
Step Three: Installation Of The Pipe Liner
In order to reach the sewer pipes, a small access point is made at one end of the sewer pipeline. A high-tech machine, developed by Nu Flow Technologies incorporates the use of the access point to pull an epoxy resin coated felt liner with an internal bladder through the entire length of the existing sewer pipeline. Once the felt liner is in place the bladder is inflated.
When the epoxy resin cures in place or hardens the bladder is deflated and removed. A brand new pipe is formed within the existing sewer pipeline. Any problems within the existing sewer pipeline are instantly fixed. Unlike some other trenchless pipe lining sewer repair methods, the Nu Drain approach works with sewer pipes that are set at 45-degree and 90-degree angles.
